Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete system of medicine used to diagnose and treat illness, prevent disease and improve well-being. It is effective for physical, psychological and emotional conditions.

Acupuncture, a form of TCM, has been practiced for more than 2,500 years, yet it is one of the most widely used modalities of the 21st century. This ancient knowledge of the body and its functions is still relevant for today's health conditions.

Acupuncture can help the energetic organs support themselves. These organs govern the functions of our senses (our ability to keep a clear head, calm the mind, focus, concentrate, sleep etc), which are all important parts of an athletes preparation.

With performance enhancement, TCM aims at treating the whole person, rather than a specific injury. By prompting the proper flow of energy within the body, Acupuncture is able to optimize the body's function and strength aiding recovery after training and daily activity.

TCM has always been used as a preventative medicine to help maintaining optimum health. However, it has the ability to bring great benefits to the patient during the recovery of from almost any illness or injury.

Acupuncture naturally stimulates the body to heal itself. The insertion of strategically placed needles from a qualified Acupuncturist, rapidly promotes circulation to the affected site, reducing pain, swelling, bruising and helping to regain strength.

The reduction of pain, swelling or bruising through Acupuncture is not a temporary form of treatment. The reason for this reduction is because the treatment is promoting the proper circulation and nourishment that is needed for proper function and strength - not just to the infected site but throughout the entire body with no side effects.

Treatment of injuries can include the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and even the speed of recovery from broken bones.

Yes. Each needle is only used once. They are pre-packaged, sterile, stainless steel and are immediately disposed of after use.
